The Wynn Las Vegas is a luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It has been recognized as the best resort in Nevada on Conde Nast Traveler’s “Gold List” for five consecutive years. The resort features more than 2,500 lavish guest rooms and suites and more than 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art casino space, spa, pool and more. Needless to say, it was amazing to be there and provide hotel & casino photography services.
This project was interesting with the juxtaposition of many spaces with overwhelming color and others with only neutrals. As always for me, the lighting must represent the true colors that were the intent of the designer.
Some spaces combine bright popping color on top of the neutrals. Check out this amazing walkway. The sculptures are constructed of various fresh flowers. It is an ever-changing space.
This mezzanine was simply beautiful. It was important for me to highlight the unique chandeliers without creating too much glare on the floor and glass. Also, the chandeliers move, limiting the exposure time.
In this lounge area, I wanted to be sure to feature the detail of the wall, while maintaining the shadowed ambiance that the hotel lighting creates.
This glass-walled atrium is magnificent. As always with areas that feature natural light, I check out the space throughout the day and night to find the best time to accentuate the tones and textures inherent in every interior or exterior I shoot.
For this dramatic sunset shot, I had to find a perch at the Palazzo Hotel across the street from the Wynn. Although this hotel is stunning, shooting the exterior posed a particular challenge. The vegetation, albeit a stunning and integral part of the unique landscape, made street level photography impossible.
This project was a pleasure. The spring Las Vegas weather provided the sunlight for the outdoor shots with just the right amount of texture in the sky without detracting from the pristine quality of the light. Color variance and contrast throughout the property presented the kind of lighting challenges I enjoy. 888-788-5554
